Apple iOS 11.3 update shows new battery features
Apple have come under fire recently regarding issue with their devices in relation to battery life and older iPhones allegedly being made slower.
Well, the latest round of updates from Apple includes a new battery feature.
“Users can now see if the power management feature that dynamically manages maximum performance to prevent unexpected shutdowns, first introduced in iOS 10.2.1, is on and can choose to turn it off,” according to Apple.
This update, called iOS 11.3, can be downloaded via the settings area on your mobile device. Select General and then Software Update. Once you have installed this update, there will be a new section under Settings | Battery. There you will find the new Battery Health (Beta) heading which shows your maximum capacity compared with when the phone or device was brand new. There is also another heading called Peak Performance Capability.
Although Apple recommends the feature is left on, users have the option to disable performance management in certain circumstances.
